I am having problems loading this game. When it has loaded 50%, I get a message that says "Datal Operation Error: CULT", I press OK, then I get "Datal Operation Error: ESPN", and then I get the program has committed an illegal something error, and the game closes. I downloaded the new patch, but I still get the error. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? Should I re-install Civ3 or what?

Did you install the patch after downloading it? Those error messages are the same as WOPR said he was getting before installing the patch.

After installing patch, I can't load the game, because it requests CD. I installed to play without CD. What now???

[sigh] Have you bought the game? If yes: you should have the cd. If no: ...Auch. Tough luck for ya...

In any case, since you were able to play the game without the cd it means you used a crack. :spank:
