Is there still a throne room (or palace construction) in Civ 4? I led most of my game, playing at Noble level, and lost only in the 21st century as another civ beat me into space. But I never once was invited to improve a throne room or palace. Is that feature gone? I know it's just eye candy, but dang it, it's *fun* eye candy. :)

No throne room in CivIV (yet).

So is one expected? I vaguely recall reading something about one in the Civ IV manual or somewhere...

Maybe they will add it in the expansion?

I just noticed that, yea. Your citizens still celebrate "we love you" days, so I'm certain place enhancements are planned, but yet another thing dropped to make the deadline. I'm hoping it'll come in via patch instead of expansion, but we'll see.

I always skipped out of it. Just seems like a waste of time.

In another thread, someone posted concept art for a throne room. So maybe it's in the works for a patch or expansion.

I'm guessing the throne room is already somewhere in the game, because in the assets\xml\interface folder there are two XML files about a "throne room". It's probably disabled atm.

It's a big disapointment if there isn't throne room/palace in Civ4 :cry:
I allways loved to look up to my completed palace :D
