What speed do you play this game on? Ive been doing epic, but it feels like the game just takes forever for me to build anything. What do you think?

I play a normal game using epic research speed and turn values. Found that to be an enjoyable balance.

So far Normal speed seems to be the same as Civ3 for me. If I don't fight, it's always a bit fast.

I changed my total turns to 3025 turns in the game, the turns are all 2 years at a time. i changed the tech production to 300 % slower than normal. what i have so far is a epic feeling game. its very slow paced where i can have a war with all the units if i choose.
