Psychlone Jan 04, 2002, 09:55 PM From what I have read in the mods section, the answer to your question is no. There is no current way of creating a scenario that includes premade cities. Publius Jan 05, 2002, 09:35 AM It also seems that you cannot pre-place any units. So, for now, no World War 2, Civil War, etc is possible. Maybe Firaxis will put that in an add-on or patch. BigBirdZ28 Jan 05, 2002, 09:49 AM i think the best you can do is save it as a saved game & edit the game back to 4000 BC. Publius Jan 05, 2002, 10:21 AM Nope..I tried that. Try to open a saved game (.SAV) in the editor you get this c:\errormsg.jpg I even changed the extension from .SAV to .bic. I didn't think it would work. It didn't. There is a saved game editor on the Utilities forum, but I haven't tried it. Is it possible to make a .sav-to-.bic converter? I'm just a dumb network admin guy. I don't know about programming. Gramphos' Civ3CopyTool allows you to export your game map to bic files. You can then use Civ3Edit to place resources, road etc. Civ3CopyTool also allow you to place/change units in a savegame file plus putting building into existing cities. Thats the closes you get at the moment for making scenarios :scan: Publius Jan 08, 2002, 10:33 PM Thanks, Dark Sheer! :D I'll check it out! Please, Firaxis, how about some of those cool scenario tools from Civ2? P-p-please! |
