No, and you really don't need to under normal circumstances since they do not cost maintenance.

The only time I could see wanting to is if you're trying to devalue a city before it's taken or given away.

I don't think you can but in my current game I just took over an AI city that was size 14 and it had NO buildings. It almost made me wonder. The city was entirely developed for food production so I'm guessing it was a GP producer of sorts.

I can think of a circumstance when you'd want to delete a building. If you've got a coal power plant, which causes -2 health, and you replace it with a nuclear plant, a hydro plant, or the Three Gorges Dam. Then you wouldn't need the coal plant any more, and you'd want to get rid of th ehealth penalty.

how about this - the only way to end a war is to give a city to your enemy- assume enemy is much more powerful than you. If buildings can be destroyed then they will get the "shell" of the city - evrything else - including the surrounding infrastructure will be gone...yep even the roads.

No need for this, when I finished this Chinese hydroplant wonder (don't know the english name) my coal power plants were still in the city listing, but didn't produce any "unhealthiness" anymore
