No problem running the game using default screen resolution (which I do not recall, I'm at work).

I have a Radeon 9600 card and a Philips 201B4 Monitor both of which support a number of resolutions. Drivers are current as of three days ago. I have attempted using the options menu to set a higher screen resolution (1600 X 1200 for example, which is supported by both my card and monitor). In all attempts the screen will go blank for a second or so, then the new resolution will appear for a couple of seconds, then the screen goes blank again and then the screen reappears at the default resolution. I have tried a number of resolutions but in all cases I end up at the default resolution.

Any thoughts on how I can use a higher resolution.
