I love Medieval games. Mostly RTS style.

I have these games:

Age of Empires II w/ expansion
Knights of Honor

Thats 'bout it. Ive been looking on Gamespot and etc., but I cant find anything good, well that doesnt look good. I dont want any fantasy stuff.

So any suggestions?

Thanks!

Medieval Total War
Stronghold Crusader

Dammit, those were the only ones that come to my mind. Ooh, and Europa Universalis II, though it's more the end of medieval times onwards.

lol

How about Stronghold 2? With the new patches, it should fix all the bugs, shouldn't it?

I can get Stronghold Crusades for 10 bucks at Wal - Mart. I might go w/ that.

So if anybody as anything on Stronghold 2 with thepatch updates and works well, please tell me...

Thanks!

I have Stronghold 2, I recomend not buying it.
It's slow- loading screen takes 6 minutes to load on it's own. Then the game often freezes for 30 seconds.
New features suck- knights gong and everything you ever want, they screwed it up

It's still a good game, but I'd pick Stronghold 1 and Stronghold Crusader over Stronghold 2 just about every day.
BTW if your gonna get any Stronghold game, get Stronghold Warchest, it includes Stronghold 1 (My favorite game of all time) and Stronghold Crusader and bonus maps and scenarios
I also recomend Castles and Catapults PC version. I don't have it but my friend loves it.

Stronghold 1,
www.taleworlds.net for Mount+Blade (still in BETA, but it's only $12US if you buy it in beta, it's a great game, the horses pwn all other in-game horses (it is playable)).

Mount + Blade works OK on Win98, theres some thread somewhere on the site about it.

How about Crusader Kings? I've not played it myself, but it's average score is pretty good. Not sure if there's any demo out... Perhaps someone here knows if the game's good?!

Hmm i think someone is working on mod for Rome:Total War and it would be cool if that RTW engine run like Medieval styles.

Chivalry: Total War (http://www.stratcommandcenter.com/forums/index.php?showforum=40) and "the Crusades (http://forums.rometotalrealism.org//index.php?showtopic=10903)" are two Rome: Total War mods set in the medieval era. They both look promising.

Yeah, I would definately recommend Stronghold (1 and Crusades).

And Crusader Kings doesn't look too bad either :).

That's a great game, but more of an ancient one.
