Hi all. I am looking for 2-3 easy-going folks to get a multiplayer game going, more is great but I find its easier to manage a small group. I would like to play a standard map, random # of continents, with AI making up the remaining civs. As this would prob take a while to finish, I was hoping to find some people that can play an hour or two on a set night of the week, maybe more if we are all available. We can save our progress after each session and continue over the course of a few weeks. I don't much go for 1 on 1 maps or crazy map set-ups. I'm a good sport, and won't quit if my starting position is horrible (I enjoy the challenge).

I work a lot, live with my fiance, etc etc...so people in a similiar situation would be great so we will all understand when we cannot make it ;) If interested email or PM me and let me know. Oh, and I'm east coast US.

Id love to set something like this up as well. Wednesday nights would best for me. I will probobly be setting up two of my friends with this game as well, so maybe we can get them in on this if we actually get it goin. Let me know if Wednesday nights are any good for you.

how late can u guys do this? im free kinda later like on a wensday night i wouldnt even be home till 11 central or 12 eastern... maybe im not a cantadate than... weekends im better of as well as tuesdays and thursdays

Wed nights work for me. I was hoping for that one set night a week, and then maybe, if everyone is around on a weekend night here and there, we can all jump on for a longer session, but that isn't necessary. As for late night, as long as its scheduled in advance I could probably go until around midnight, and weekends its a free for all...but again, if people need to cut out earlier that would be fine too. So lets shoot for Wed nights, let me know how you want to get in contact. Email works best for me, I have AIM and ICQ as well if that works better for you.

I am also interested if you want to fit one more person. I am looking for a similar situation - people to play regularly on weeknights, where you save the game and continue the next session.

I'd be game... especially because you said laid back. I can definitely comit 2-3 hours a week on a designated night. I'm also east coast and have a wife and kids... so yeah... would understand.

Alrite, lets call it Wed nite, say we start at 8 Eastern and go for an hour or 2, maybe more if we are all up for it. We can use that as our "etched in stone" session, and if we are all around on another nite we can play then too, but we won't hold anyone to it. A weekend nite here or there may be feasible.

I am thinking we go with whoever shows up, standard map, custom continents, random number, and the AI fills in the rest up to 8 civs. Simultaneous timed (medium) turns, all civ choices set to random. Does that work?

My gamespy ID is hammie, go ahead and add me to your buddy lists so we can all chat it up. Maybe for setup purposes we can all use some sort of IMing program, AIM, ICQ, or IRC? Let me know what works for everyone. It would be cool to get into our own IRC channel before game to figure out what is going on.
