I based this map on the principles of fast early growth and powerful bombarding. The biggest rule changes are the increased terrain production, disabling of the transport ability for boats, and, of course, increased bombard power. There are numerous other changes as well.

Here's a readme for those of you who want to learn more about the scenario. It's not too long, so please take the time to read it if you want to evaluate the scenario.

If anybody out there likes this map, I created another that you might enjoy as well. It's called The Promised Land, and it's under a thread of that name. You might want to give it a try.....:)

Hi there!
I played your map. I must admit, itīs definitely not my type of map. Far from it. However, itīs still an interesting experiment, and I am sure you put quite a bit of work into it. I think the left position is somewhat better than the right, and I fail to see why the barbarians are included. I ran into one or two of their subs, but otherwise they had no effect except delaying the game. I could probably only have reached their island with paradrops anyway.
Although I didnīt enjoy this type of map, I will definitely not be scared of playing other maps if you create anymore maps. I like the fact that you actually modified the rules to make it a more unique map. Well, it wouldnīt be much of a map without all that work anyway I guess. :-)

I made this map a looong time ago, it seems, and I now have basically the same sentiments about it as you. This was my first map here, and I think I have created several better ones since. They include Sherwood Forest, Escape from Dune, and, of course the currently inoperable The Promised land that you noticed earlier.

And yes, all of my later maps have strange new rules.
