Yes. I'm running Civ with an integrated AC'97 soundcard and standard Philips speakers (cost me 20 euros), and I'm happy with the sound quality. In fact, I suspect that Civ would run equally well without sound, but then you'd be missing something.

May I also suggest that you turn off the caps lock when posting ?
