ravensfire Nov 03, 2005, 09:00 AM Minister,
I haven't seen any discussion yet about trades for the upcoming session. I do, however, have a small request. Please do NOT, under ANY circumstances, trade Theology to ANYONE until Rome/France complete Sun Tzu's Academy and the other cascades/completes Leonardo's Workshop.
Thank you,
-- Ravensfire, President of Fanatikos
Furiey Nov 03, 2005, 01:33 PM We lost our Gems deal at the end of the last turnchat and need to regain that. The Persians want 10gpt and 4gold, but it would cost us 24gpt if we had to raise the luxury slider from 10% to 20% so would be worth it.
I also notice that our deal for the Roman Incense has expired but not been stopped by the Romans. They have now connected up their own Horses so we would have to trade them Wines and probably gpt to renew it. If they do not ask to renew it, it would probably be worth allowing it to continue to run rather than cancelling it. If they do ask to renew it we will need to trade Wine and gpt
TimBentley Nov 03, 2005, 05:22 PM They have now connected up their own Horses....
The screenshot shows them only having 1 horse: the one we're trading them.
Furiey Nov 03, 2005, 05:46 PM If you right click on the Horse by Rome, it gives gold that indicates the tile is roaded.....
Furiey Nov 05, 2005, 06:24 AM Minister CivGeneral
The Gems were secured from Persia for gpt, and the Incense from Rome for Wines and gpt (they now have thier own horses).
We sold Theology to Persia for 85gpt and 50 gold after the AI Wonder Cascades had been broken.
We sold Literature to England for Gold and Contact with Babylon.
The chat was stopped at turn 10 when Persia got Education which we are currently researching. Perhaps we need to reconsider our research, either stopping or researching something else until we get Education from the Great Library
I hope this report was useful

CivGeneral Nov 05, 2005, 11:33 AM The report is useful and give thanks for covering for me :)
ravensfire Nov 11, 2005, 10:07 AM Minister CivGeneral,
Governor admiral-bell of Priapos is planning on authorizing the construction of an observatory by the Copernicus Construction firm. After reviewing the plans, my office has realized that we don't have all the needed technology to complete this wonder!
Some of our citizens wish to head straight to Military Tradition, others wouldn't mind a slight detour to research the technology for this observatory. Please open some discussions on our long term technology plans, with the understanding that current events could cause some changes, so that Governor admiral-ball may plan the future of his city.
Thanks,

I notice in your instructions you make no provision for renegotiating our Wines for Silks deal with Persia. Please be aware that this will expire on turn 9, and although I think it likely that we will stop prior to that as we will be ready to declare war, it may be best to include provision for continuing the deal (it may need some gpt as well) just in case.

@Furiey: Done, though I left the options open since who knows what they may demand :).
