Hi! I was wondering if there was a way to get to the file that contains music in the game. I just heard this song I really like that was not on the music CD and I would like to hear it again. I've tried to look through the files, but I can't seem to get to the games inner workings. Any ideas?

Assuming you installed civ 4 in the default location you would find the mp3s in:
C:\program files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\Sounds\Soundtrack

OK, I got to the sounds folder and I went into soundtracks and into the modern era music folder, where I wanted the music from, but it was empty. Why?
By the way, my game is installed under F. Is that a problem? Also to get to the Sid Meier's Civilization 4 folder I have to go to My Documents/My games is that also a problem?

The soundtrack kind of sucks. It lacks the really good Medieval, Renaissance, etc, tunes.

I still would like the music for it though...any thoughts?

having it on another drive shouldn't impact whether you can access the song files. Try going to my documents\my games\firaxis et al and see if perhaps they were placed there. Do you have the song files from the other eras?
