Can somebody help me with building offshore platform for oil? I finished researching plastic and all the requirements for oil building but I don't know how to use them. I tried settler and worker but none of them can build the platform. Thanks for the info.

Use a workboat it can go to the oil and build the platform

I will try this and see how it work.

You need to build a "Work Boat". Then move the Work Boat to the oil, and choose "Create Offshore Platform" as an action. The Work Boat disappears and is replaced by an Offshore Platform.

Work Boats are kinda the Workers of water spaces. You need one to do almost anything offshore.

I have a problem with this....all my oil is in an ocean square but work boats can only move on a coast square :( that needs to be fixed

Aren't workboats like Galleys where they can move into ocean squares as long as it is inside your cultural bounds? (and the oil would have to be within your bounds to work anyways)
