Sleighty Nov 06, 2005, 08:57 PM Hi All :)
I'm a member of TOG (the older gamers) based mainly in Australia, there are few of us that play CIV4, but are after more members that can play in our time zone. PM me or pop over to www.theoldergamers.com and leave a post.

You would be about 2 hours ahead of us I think? If we started at 8.30pm would that be to late for you? you would be playing until 12.30am
jay_nz Nov 07, 2005, 03:52 AM yeah, that would be fine
It usually is two hours, but I'm worried it might be three hours at the moment because of daylight savings. What's the story with DST in Australia at the moment?
Sleighty Nov 08, 2005, 03:41 AM We have put our clocks back an hour, so its lighter at night.
Tycalt Nov 10, 2005, 01:42 AM Count me in as I'm sure you already have Sleighty as I posted in the TOG forum about this too :)

GrimReaper Nov 20, 2005, 12:36 AM I will be playing on Tuesday :)
Can anyone please help with the following: Recalling the dramas we had with Civ3 MP game setup I tried setting up an internet game with TOG Brenda_Jane. Whilst we could each set up games without difficulty, neither of us could join a game as the connection always "timed out".
Any ideas?
Sadan01 Nov 20, 2005, 02:41 AM Awesome! I've been looking and looking for something like this for our part of the world. I'll check out the site Sleighty. Wouldn't mind trying a multiplayer game at some point (used to play them in Civ3 occasionally).
Sleighty Nov 20, 2005, 06:04 PM Yes guys we will be starting MP game tuesday night and it will run every tue night at about 8.30pm GMT +10
Go to www.theoldergamers.com and join up or PM for more info.

Mate, that's exactly what I wanted to post. I'm up for something, PBEM suits me much more than playing direct... I'm up for something, anything PBEM-wise.. Melbourne-based here..
Ashtrix Nov 23, 2005, 10:49 PM Adeliade here - I can download the save file whilst at work, and have my turn during that night or next morning.. I would then email it on next day therefore I should be able to turn around withnin 18 to 24 hrs...
How many people should we aim for?
geea Nov 24, 2005, 12:15 AM I'd be up for playing. I can play most nights. I'm in Melb and well over 25. I need to get this sorted first.http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=143074

Mike8472 Nov 24, 2005, 08:11 AM Hi.
I have assembled a group of about 15 mostly Aussie players a few yanks & kiwis as well. We are mostly on the apoloyton forums and use msn or icq to organise games.
Currently we have a large Saturday game going, although a new game may start due to the patch. Trying to get a weeknight game going to be played on two nights per week. We were ment to start tonight but the patch really buggered us for some reason its causes lots of lag, 1.0 was fine we had a 10 player game no worries.
Anyway hope you hear from you.
4_HoTA Nov 25, 2005, 06:04 AM Im keen but atm i play on my flatemates comp and he's playin Civ all the time since i brought it and installed it on his comp lol, really hope i can join you guys in multiplayer as i enjoy multiplayer and civIV is the bomb, went too the TOG site had a quick browse but could'nt find the CivIV thread, seems too be all Bf42 and eve online lol, would'nt mind trying eve either.
Achromatic1978 Nov 25, 2005, 09:16 AM Both PBEM and anything would be good for me in Melbourne, on most night `til far far too late.
