The Crusades are coming now on the History Channel at 8:00-10:00 IST. Are any of you wacthing and do you get it?

I watched it. It waas pretty good. Didn't include enough abotu the attrocities the Christains commited though if you ask me.

It was informative, it just didnt hold my attention. I just didnt like the way they did it.

I also think that there wasn't nearly enough in it about what happened to the Jews. I believe they only mentioned the Jews in passing a couple times when talking about who lived where. They didn't say anything about how the Jews affected the politics of the situation or what happened to them. The same can be said of the Eastern Catholics.

Didn't hold me attention...

* Atheist * Christian history doesn't really interest me - but I thought it might tie into what my Pres. is doing at the moment. Also - Euro v. Arabs [ entertaining but brutal ]

Good movie, bad portrayal of Crusaders and Crusader kings.

I think this is a little OT thread material, but yes, I have watched this on occasion. The one about the First Crusade, and then the Second and Third Crusades, that's it.
