These are probably real basic questions here, but what format will graphics files be in the Mac version of Civ3 ? Will there be any way of creating/customising graphics ?

I presume audio will be MP3 ?

[Is Brad out there to answer these ?]

I did quite a lot of 'customisation' of graphics, audio and events files in Civ2, using GraphicConverter for graphics, ProTools Free & SoundAppFAT for audio, and good old SimpleText for events files, and had some good results. I never got around to finishing a scenario, but with Mac Civ3 imminent I fancy trying my hand at some Civ3 ones... if it's possible.

Well, since I've zilch responses to my original post, I've discovered that the FLC graphics files for Civ3 units (PC) can be opened and edited using Lemkesoft's Graphic Convertor (http://www.lemkesoft.de/us_index.html) :) but not sure how one saves them once edited, as I still don't know what format they need to be for Mac Civ3 (Quicktime? FLC?)

The game shares a lot of engine code with Alpha Centauri, and as a result, uses a lot of the same file formats. These are pcx, flc, mp3 and wav. And of course text files define a lot of the dialogs and rule settings.
