Just wondered how many have this game and would be willing to play it online since I currently know of 3 other people who play it online and yesterday we actually played all together.

Are we talkin 1 or 2? It would take some time for me to get my save game back from a friend who backed up my comp before a format which has my save from part 1. If part 2 I already have a save ready.

D2 = Diablo 2

K got my save back, only a lvl 14 warrior but I have decent weapons a higher level friend bought me. So how are we arranging this?

I found one of my old rogues, lvl 20, but not a point in magic. Unfortunately, someone's been messing with it, and I have some pretty pathetic gear (As in non-magical). Do we need to use the same patch? If so, which one?

We all need the newest 1.09 patch from www.blizzard.com

It would be best to organize it over ICQ/MSN/AIM (I use all 3 and could act as a "hub")

However....if no one has it...I guess we will have to do it over the forum.

Ahh, that game last night was fun! Dell and Genghis just sat on their asses and talked while I worked up levels.

I might be able to play tonight, but I can't garuantee it. Hopefully I might gain some levels and be able to play like I used to.

BTW Dell, I have played the game before, I even had a lvl50 sorcerer once, so you don't need to explain EVERYTHING to me.

You should see how slow it is to level up in the higher levels...and watching someone play isn't that bad.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get two computers sharing a cable modem connection through a router to join the same Battle.net game? I would like to get my little sister playin with me if possible.

Using Win2K you can share your connection easily. But the major problem is that the 1.09 patch f*** up Win2k. each time you finish playing diablo, be sure that 5 mins after Win2k crashes and auto reboot. :mad: Thanks MS stability.
Under 98 you have free proxies and routers such as winroute, the most effective and famous freeware.

Now back to the game, I've got an awesome sword for you, Cedric. Concerning me, I've found a dragon amulet of wizardy. I admit though it was quite hard to choose between my rings. More magic (hence mana) or more resist magic/fire/lightning? Finally I chosed the 1st one.

Fireball doing up to ~500 damage... That's why I can't use them when teamp playing :( I would wound my teammates!

Wound your teammates?!? More like slaughter them. Anyway I was just playing and found Plate of the Ages, I refuse to throw it away or sell it, unfortunatly it only is armor of 68 but does someone maybe want it? Can't see throwing indestructible armor away.

K I was just reading through some stuff at Freshman Diablo ( http://www.arewehavingfunyet.com/diablo/diablo.shtml ) and just realised that there was an expansion for Diablo I called Hellfire. I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried it and if so what they thought. I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick up a copy, even with the lackluster reviews from www.ebgames.com but I would like to know beforehand if this would screw up my existing characters or online play. Any info would be good.

The main problem would be I think we all have to have the same version to play although I think you would still be able to use your mp charactor using the expansion pack.

He Cedric, I know I'm really clumsy sometimes but as you could see, now, I exclusively have the role of team doctor :D No using any attack anymore. Just heal other :p

The good: it's quite cool, playing the monk, the new character.
The bad: it's a solo addon. No MP. Finally an unofficial crack was released by hackers to allow HF to be played in MP games, but only through LAN :( Doesn't work over Bnet.
(The ugly :D The hidden characters suck.)

Level 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need another million points and then it will be level 28...Todays game was a great game of hide and seek. Six was on level 4 but couldn't make a tp so I hd to work my way through level 5 - very annoying.

I got surrounded by hordes of zombies and had 15 archers firing at me. I was lucky to escape.

I gained 6 more levels too! Level 16 now, and a few more levels in the next few days I hope.

EDIT: I gained 6 levels, not 5.

Okay you have an excuse...

Another thing that happened that day was that me and Genghis joined a public game. This was to give a level one player some weapons which Genghis did and then the level one player decided to try and kill me. After about 10 hits I had lost about 10 health, so I made one attack and he started complaining...Okay I halved his health but he attacked me first.

:D Think I finally found a way to do it. Was going through the labyrinth that is the Battle.net forums and stumbled upon a link to this http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=mdt0243p . Now I actually belive it was written for Diablo 2 but I hope it should work with other games too. I have yet to try it but I do wish to take a whack at it.

W00t Found a program to get rid of that annoying cd lag when playing Diablo. Of course it takes an ISO image of the game on the hard drive but hell it works. http://www.daemon-tools.com/
