For my year of Civ III the conquest victory has forever eluded me. I am going to make my attempt and post my first record of it. The Grecian Conquest it will be named and hopefully it will live up to said name.
CIV: Greece
SIZE: Huge
OPPONENTS: 16
MAP: Archipeligo, 60% water
TEMP: warm
RAIN: normal
AGE: 4 billion
I will not try to 'milk it' at the start and will go with what is given. BOMBS AWAY!

Why you named it Grecian, and not Greek?

Can't argue with logic like that

Well, I named it that because that is the plural for Greek civilation. One of them, anyway. Would you call it the England conquest or the America Conquest, no, you would call it the English conquest and the American conquest.
THis is what happened. Well i started on the south of an island consisting of a large Z, i thought i settled relatively quickly, but the monarch settled faster. I controlled the bottom rung of the Z and a quarter of the middle rung. The celts to my north controlled half of the top rung and three quarter of the middle rung. THe mongols controlled the other half of the top rung.
I then was attacked by the celts and they swept down with a huge celtic swordsman army of nearly 30. My hoplites held for about 5 turns before they were overwhelmed. I signed an alliance with the mongols against the celts but the mongols fought them to a stalemate after taking one city and the celts didn't pull back at all to protect their rear. i lost my one source of iron and was then fighting for my life the rest of the game. I held out for another 40 turns but finally fell to the constant stream of swordsman. It was an embarrassing defeat for my fine greek warriors and for me. I guess ill try to survive monarch more before i go for one type of victory.

I don't want to criticize too much, but England Conquest would be in your case Greece Conquest, while I said Greek Conquest. English and American are like GREEK, while England and America are like Greece.
