Ok, this my first mod so bear with me. My mod changes the current religions into game companies/developers. Here is the list of religions:
Sonyism(Taoism)
Nintendoism(Judaism)
Atariism(Buddhism)
Segaism(Confucianism)
Arcadeism(Islam)
Microsoftism(Christianity)
PCanity(Hinduism)

This was made using fast food religions mod as a basis, so some stuff in that may still be here(though I tried to remove most of it)
V1.3
-Added religious unit for Nintendoism
-Added sounds and icons for PCanity

In next version
-more sounds
-more icons
-religous unit for Sonyism

Here is file:Videogame religions v1.3 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10/Videogame_religions_v1.3.zip)

This should go in your Mods folder
Any help and/or suggestions are welcome:)

Thx to: KingTux, for helping me with icons

I don't use the DDS converter. I downloaded the Gimp and use it's DDS plugin. It works great as I can open a DDS file (or non-DDS file), edit it, and then save it as a DDS file without needing to do any converting.

The link to Gimp ( www.gimp.org ) and it's DDS plugin ( http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/~cocidius/dds/ ) are in the DDS skinning thread here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=137265

EDIT: Fixed links.

Yeah, like he said. My new version (yet to be released) now uses GIMP and some higher resolution pictures. When my new version is released, there's going to be A LOT of changes and all artwork will be redone with GIMP so that I can have MUCH crisper and more professional looking graphics. The option that I was using before sucks, to put it nicely. Besides, I did it all in GIMP anyways, I just didn't save them there.

This is the best idea ever.

I reccomend "Missionaries" be renamed to "Fanboys."

Some of the diplomacy text have refrences to fanboys(some paticular, others more generalized) Good idea i'll have to put it in:goodjob:

Ok, folks, I got the sound files up. So now just reinstall the mod(sorry for inconvenience) Also I just realized mod doesnt work because the folder got renamed when I uploaded it. So now I got everything working and is finally good to go.

The chronical order of the appearance of the game developers/systems is not correct. Fix it and it's better ;)

funny stuff. i'd like to see NES characters as leaders (with appropriate personalities). Mario of the mushroom kingdom , Link of Hyrule, Kid Icarus of Greece, Bionic Commando of 198X america... it would all translate so well
