Unfortunately, I can't even try this, as it requires patch 1.09, which doesn't work for me. When I installed it, the game wouldn't even start. I had to reinstall 1.0 to be able to play again.

Awaiting the next patch and hoping it works better...

I installed the patch to play the GOTM. It messed up all my wonder movies (heavy stutter) and I have hugeslowdowns in diplomacy screens (when portraits of AI appears). I even crashed to the desktop once.

I didn't have any problems with the 1.0 version.

If version 1.09 doesn't work for you outside of GOTM, then I recommend you contact Firaxis for support.

I already tried e-mailing Take Two about it. No reply. Thinking about it, this may be because I didn't send the list of information requested at the back of the manual (not having looked at the back of the manual until now). Though I doubt very much that any of the requested information would help them to solve the problem.

Firaxis doesn't seem to publish a support address.

Sorry, yes, I'm being very imprecise. It should be Take 2 support.

OK, I've now sent all the requested information, and sent it to take2@europesupport.com, the address in the back of the manual.

Previously I was relying on the Web site, which gives only US and Canadian addresses, with no list of required information to be supplied. Sigh.

Still no help from Take Two, but Zydor has now given me the solution. All I had to do was to move my saved games elsewhere, then install the patch, then move the saved games back again. Easy when you know how. Hardly obvious, though.
