Hi,

I'm looking for 7 other players to play a PBEM. Normal continent map, normal speed, no options, all victories allowed.

If you want to join, send me an email to bevertje@gmail.com with subject PBEMwithoutMOD (because I'm hosting a PBEM with a MOD too :crazyeye: ). In the mail you need to give me your emailadres, password for the game, your time zone and when you can play. Also give your top 3 of leaders/civs you want to play. First come, first served.

If you join, you have to check your mail every 24 hours and if you received your turn, you need to send it ASAP in order to keep the pace in the game.
Also, don't cheat! We play for fun and cheating is no fun. If you want to cheat, play Doom3 :lol: :scan:

I was thinking of Noble difficulty. But if you play with all humans and no AI's, then I suppose, the difficulty has no meaning? exept maybe, base happy faces and health?

Yes, those are some of the differences, and maybe also starting units or gold (not sure about that though).

Dose anyone just do conquest on warlord difficulty for multiplayer? ive been playing noble difficulty but find the barbarians a pain so switched back too warlord,really keen on multiplayer as i think thats were the game really comes into its own,i'd play with up too 11 players as enevitably up too anywhere between 1-3 players drop out leaving still say 7-8 harcore players left which works well,there should be a thread dedicated too players who consistantly stick with a game and of course those who consistantly drop out.

Should we upgrade to v1.52 prior to playing next turn? It solves issues with PBEM games, changes tech cost, etc.?

I believe we should upgrade to the new version as soon as each of us can. Personally, I don't really want to wait for the next couple of months, (when this PBEM is over) to update my game. I am going to do so today and if the new patch is incompatible with the PBEM then I guess I will have to keep 2 versions of this game on my machine. I will let everyone know what happens.:eek:

I can not upgrade, I have the direct to drive version. I suck. :p someday they will have a patch, i fyou all want to boot me out its cool. I like to have the most current patch also, but...

it won't download, but i'll keep trying. it didn't work for 1.09 though.

I did some searching and the only information I found on the D2D problem that you're experiencing is...Before you start the download you must have any firewall and/or virus protection turned off or the download will not even connect properly. If this don't work then contact Firaxis with your bug and report it because it is the exact same code as the hard-copy game. Maybe if you have a bad copy they will download you a new one.

By the way...Who has the game now?...Last I saw it was sent to Bever 3 days ago...Is the game still on?

no able to update yet, it won't work together (1.09 and 1.52 I mean). we have 2 choices, wait (it took 6 days last time for the d2d patch) or replace me. I'm ok with either.

One question, isn't PBEM really slow?? If you need to play, save and send, and wait for the save to make a full round around the globe...

Judging from the above I think the save must have been lost in the transition from me to Guy. I did send it on the 26th feb, but he obviously didn't recieve it. I can send it again if you want, or wait for the restarted turn...

This game is moving a bit too slow for me... I'd like to retire if it's OK with you guys. Should I look for a replacement, or would you welcome a faster pace with 1 less human player? Thanks for letting me know.

I don't understand that the turn goes so slow the last weeks. Some people don't play and sent when they receive the turn, so we have quite great delays.

I would like to know who wants to continue with this game, and who wants to stop. It starts to bother me that we do more than a week over one turn, while the first weeks, we did two turns a week.
