I was reading this reveiw on civ 4 that read:

How much control does the world builder actually provide the average player? You've probably heard many times that it can be opened during any game. Since it is a very, very detailed system, it is natural to think that it provides the player lots of different options (and this is very true). Just open the editor and you'll see the ability for you to tweak and change everything from Cities, Technologies, Units, and Diplomacy.

My question is that does civ iv come with the mods to do the stuff listed above or do i have to download a mod?:confused: :confused: :confused:

:eek: Please Reply!!!!!!!!=

I don't understand your question, but I'll give it a shot.

World Builder is like a super-cheat program in that it allows you to edit and place things on the map. It won't let you create a new unit type or a new leader, though. It just lets you place stuff that's already built into the game, like rivers or tanks or which techs a player has. If you want to make anything "new" like a different religion, a tech the game didn't include, or a custom-built unit then you'll have to edit a LOT of xml files to do the job.

If you're familiar with Civ III, editing a map is easier but adding a new unit is MUCH harder (more steps, more technical knowledge required).
