I've got another idea for a new air mission.
Patrol
Patrol would work basically like a repeating Recon mission. The aircraft would automatically recon the same tile every turn until you tell it not to. This would bring in maritime (?) air patrol, and would make a need for bombers during peacetime. Also, this would go very well with a new aircraft I would like to add, a PBY Catilina ("S & R" Flying Boat, among many other roles)
Also, another thing that really needs to be added back in, IMO, is Airbases. The airbases could be built on your land, unsettled land, or on land of someone that you have an open boarders agreement with. That way, you could send a worker to a friendly country and establish an airbase or two there to both project your power, as well as protect your ally. Not sure if the AI could handle this or not. If the AI never establishes forgien airbases, then it would be too overpowering for the player.
Do these ideas (mainly the first one) sound good, or is there room for improvment?
When the SDK comes out and I can figure out how to add these new missions, I'm gonna have a lot of fun.
[EDIT] Would the patrol mission be possible now, using Python? I haven't done anything with python yet. Problem is, I don't know if there is any way to add a new button for the new mission.
