I always play on huge map, noble (for now), and usually try for any type of victory besides conquer. I usually try to stay ahead of the tech / industrial race (Phi / Ind).

My favorites (in order)

Elizabeth (Phi / Fi) - Probably my favorite. Generates a lot of great people which I can re-invest into cities or aquire a technology if I'm behind. I really like the redcoat; because of my play-style + AI behavior I usually end up at war right about the time I get that UU.

Qin Shi Huang (Ind / Fi) - China - I like the UU and trait combo. Being able to build wonders 50% faster is nice.

Frederick (Cre / Phi) - My favorite trait combo, but the UU comes late.

Louis XIV (Cre / Ind) - Another favorite trait combo but not a big fan of the UU.

Catherine (Cre / Fi) Nice traits, nice UU. Cossacks are a beast.

One I haven't tried but could see myself liking is Saladin (Phi / Spi).
