As a new age dawns on Mankind, we must realize our rights, restrictions and goals of freedom. The People must hold a contract with their government, to prevent oppression and barbariasm. So, in the name of liberty and justice, we assemble this constitution to ensure us our freedoms forever, until the end of Justice on this World. Fellow (insert country resident adjective here), together let us:
Allow Freedom for all our people, and all people who are under our great nation's jurisdiction
Protect our Nation, whatever the cost, to the last man standing, and never ever be annihilated of the face of the Planet
Obey the Constitution, since it governs the land
Allow all people life, liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness unless they infringe on the rights of other men
And never, ever in all our time, fight out against a fasir government, simply for fun or sport or to gain attention

I received Nobody's PM requesting the Constitution vote to be delayed until this poll closes. Unfortunately we're out of time, but fear not citizens! A new clause was added to the Constitution final version which allows edits of sections which do not affect the law (i.e. the preamble) to be edited without having to go through the amendment process. So wordsmith to your heart's content. :D

Voted for Octavian X's suggestion. It is the most straightforward one and best captures what the DG means to me.

2. I think the poll is too short You will give people only 48 hours... I would welcome it if you would set a new poll with stating the exact date of closing, e.g.: Closing date: 24th of december! (So far your poll seems to be open until Jan.,26th - That's what is said on the red frame above the poll.) - IMHO Dec. 24th would be a perfect closing date... :D

3. Another reason I would like to restart this poll is because of the missing of SwissEmpire's and Robo's shot at the constitution - That doesn't seem fair, whether people like it or not... When including Robo's and SwissEmpires proposals into the new poll everyone would have an equal chance.

4. When you DO set up a new poll (?? - I can do it, too, but it's your baby so far?!?) you can put all the preamble-suggestions in the first post... You can do it here as well by editing it (Robo's and SwissEmpire's should be in the first post...)

I wouldn't feel good if the result of this "incomplete" poll would decide on which preamble our constitution has... You pointed out, that the preamble is an important part of a constitution and I fully agree with you, Nobody.

I won't vote on this poll due to the mentioned points above...

EDIT: you could close this poll by simply editing your first post and insert a link to the right one... As I stated I'm willing to help but I don't wanna highjack your project...

No offence meant (really!), but it's not you who has to decide that. It's the voter's decision whether or not they want it as preamble so you should really include it to the poll, just like Robo's...

48 hours is fine. I assume most people will come here atleast once every two days. I made my normal mistake and put in 48 days instead of hours.
