OK, this is my first story, so i am a bit nervous.

I am playing the rhye's of civ mod, v29 expanded. these are the settings

England
70% water
Continents
Temperate
5 billion.

I have all opponents on and i am playing on warlord. here goes.....

The british people had been nomads for many millenia. but then they came to an area that they liked. this place had an ocean, but sadly only a few small fish, it had grapes, which could be eaten or turned into wine and there was a river for clean water. the people decided that they would settle here, and they did. they picked a man named Alfred to be their leader, and it was decreed, that in his honor, all future leaders of britian would be named Alfred. (amazingly the same thing happened all over the world at the same time  ) They built a city here, and named it London. The people of London worked the area, and king Alfred I ordered that a regiment of a thousand warriors be trained. All was well.

3850 BC:

Now with the warriors ready, King Alfred V commisioned that London begin gathering people to build a second city. It was estimated that this would take a long time, but london got to work. in the mean time, he workers began building roads, deep into wine country. sadly, the grapevines were on the other side of the thames, which meant that that the roads would have to go to the potential vineyards, and then come to a dock. but the lust for wine kept the workers going. Further to the west, the scouts had found a long yellow border, they decided to invvestigate.

3800 BC:

Our scouts found another civilization. Only the scout master can speak their language, so when the aging Alfred V met with their leader, Cleopatra (who, like all leaders, is named after the civilization's founder), the good king used him as a translator. This cleopatrea is quite kind. because we showed her how to make vessels out of clay, she had her priests teach us about the spirits that cause life, destruction, death, love, the seasons and many more. the eygptians call it Mih-sti-ciz-um.

Very good story:

I like: - the thing with the leader names
- Mih-sti-ciz-um
- Translators

I don't like: warlord level.

I voted the first option.

i dont fell like opening up civ right now so this will just be some background info:
The British Kids sat around the fire place, the old mystick (after centuries the brits finally gotta hold on how to prounounce that word) told the story. Many centuries ago, he said, before the first king Alfred the great, our people were hunter gatherers. You see, our people, were one, in a tribe known as brittania. we spoke english and were very much like how we are now ( i wont use the date system until i discover christianity, and if that happens before 10 AD, the story will be that the christians are people who anticipate christ coming in 0 AD). however, we brits were the upper class of the tribe, we ruled the lower class, they were known as the amarykins. they paid tribute to us and worshiped us. then they got angry when we started to force them to hand over all their meat and fruit, so one night, they got up and left, in the morning, we brits were totally shocked, but alas! they never came back. they probably just dies without us. however, if they did survive, they probably speak our language, follow our ways and celebrate their holidays. then the mystick leaned over and whispered, don't let king alfred know that i said this, but they're cookies are fabled to be much better than ours ;)
