has anyone else noticed this? On both of my machines it always hangs for 20 seconds or so when I load up a game.

Yes, I have noticed the delay, but I wouldn't classify it as a hang since it always keeps going after a few seconds...just the way the loading process works I suppose :confused: . Not something you can't live with though :). It gives me a few more seconds to ponder how my CIV 2 strategies are completely useless in this new game (and that's a good thing :) )

Yes delay is a better word.

I believe some Firaxian mentioned that that's when the computer places all units on the map ;) A time consuming process in the latter ages.
