I have yet to delve into modding Civ IV -- I'm just playing the game for a while. But I really dislike a few of the colors assigned to Civs, especially the gray of the Germans.

Can anyone point a modding newbie in the direction of how to change the colors?

You can change the colors completely in XML/GameInfo/CIV4ColorVals.xml, or just redistribute the current color-schemes in XML/GameInfo/CIV4PlayerColorInfos.xml

Sorry, minor periodic brain disfunction on my part. Replace 'GameInfo' with 'Interface' in the paths above, and you should find them. :blush:
