I finally found out! I was in this forum just to start a thread like this.
Can you give a link to them?
And what not-so-free programs could be used for units?

I take it, of course, that you mean what programs can you purchase legally to make units! :D
I think a lot of peeps are using poser.

I use Bryce. It is low cost. Great for hard surface items. (tanks, planes, ships) not as great for humans.
Poser is not as good at hard surface items, but alot better at humans. It is also alot more money.
Bryce 5.5 is 50-80.00 depending on luck mostly. The nearly identical B5 is 29-80 depending (Fry's Electronics has it for 29)
Poser is 170-230 depending.
I own both, but never use Poser. I know at least one person who has the opposite opinion.
Wyrmshadow, the most prolific unit creator ever, uses Bryce.
Bryce is fast, simple, and cheap.

I know this was started by WerBack3>>, but I have another unit related question: Where do I install a new unit from this site? What do I have to do with it?

I forgot to mention, I don't have C3C, but if you don't know how's in Vanilla, no problem.

Sorry, WerBack, there's no easy way to suddenly just start making awesome units. It took me a year, and I still can't figure out how to make 3d units from scratch. I would suggest starting out with cut'n'paste before going on to complicated 3d stuff.. yet. You'll need to use those skills later anyway. I would sugest getting SBB, FLICster, and an old, freeware version of PSP and read the instructions on all of them. It's a lot, but it really helps. Once you figure out how to make storyboards, you can try the 3d stuff. Good luck, :D
