Has there been a mod that expands the game into the future? Like, instead of ending at 2050, a game could go to a futuristic era. I wanted to know as I've always wanted my games to go on, and going into the future would be cool. The only futuristic mods I've seen are seperate, but I'm looking for one that continues the main game.

Anyone know of one?

You can't add a 5th era. So if you wanted to expand it you'd have to combine two ages to and make the Modern Era the 3rd age, and then make the last age into the future.

DyP way back when had some futuristic stuff, but it might have been removed in a later version. RnR doesn't really have anything like this.

Hmmm, I see. I didn't know only 4 eras were supported. Oh well.

Well, you could do it. It would be a lot of work. But yes, you're limited to the 4 eras.

Well, I've never modded this, and I don't know how. Maybe I should learn. This is the second game I've played with an editor, first being Morrowind.

You can add eras with a bit of a mental jump.
An era is what? A series of technologies that you research only once all the required subordinate techs are researched.
So you can create choke points to add eras or sub-eras.
Era one has a b c and 1 2 3 techs, where a leads to b which leads to c, and 1 leads to 2, then to 3. Create a new tech which you could call "Future Era" (or whatever) this tech requires C and 3 (or all subordinate techs just like an ear advancement).
The key is to control how many loose techs there are. Because the editor limits you to 4 prerequisites, you must inter link your techs so they all lead to 4 or less techs.

Check my techs trees (link to the preview of my mod in my signature). I have 14 virtual eras within the 4 eras

Well I think BalancerReloaded has some scifi parts (esp Wh40k Units and Battlemechs) To be honest I never played as long as this cause I was either able to win or I have benn defeted earlier... perhaps by activating accelerated production you will be able to rush through fast enough... but I never tried...
