This is really proving to be quite annoying. Its more African than Native American, as I know very little about African technological/cultural unique things.

Check out Plotinus' "Desert & Mountain", which contains a few utterly Afro-centric tech trees. Plenty of well developed ideas to choose from there. Many of these would apply to the Northen Native Americans too I'd imagine.

Off the top of my head:

- Storytelling ~ you could take this anywhere really and break it down into many other kinds of myth related activities - naming, hunting, marriage etc.

- Sweat Lodges ~ mysticism related.

- Various building techniques ~ see Pueblo culture.

- Governmental advances ~ see the Iroquai Confederation which pioneered representative forms of governance, quite independently of other influences.

- Medicine ~ plenty of medical techniques which fail to fit in with the Western notions of medicine.

Many more I'm sure.
