Umm, so its not in the add/remove menu and I can't find and zap it using spyware detectors. It keeps popping up pop-ups when I'm using IE or FF, how do I stop it?

:hmm: That's a hard one how about not going on "special" sites or popping up pop-ups or going on suspicious sites;). However to fix I think it is best left to some computer specialist who you can trust your computer with:).

I forget how, but I believe that there is a way to show hidden files so you can see the spyware file if you have one. You should get a computer specialist to help, and this belongs in Computer Help.

Edit: If you go to Control Panel, click on tools, then select Folder Option, select View, go down to Hidden files and folders, and select show hidden files and folders.

Moved to computer talk.

Have you updated the definitions for your anti-adware programs?

Try going to windows update and downloading anything critical.

Secondly - use adblock in firefox, if you can.

Do a FULL scan instead of smart scan
with Adaware normally dose the trick

If you don't have MS Antispyware, get it and do a full system scan.

Another thing to do is bring up the "Add or Remove Programs" thingy from the Control Panel, go through the list, and look for odd stuff you know you didn't install. If you find a chunk of spyware this way, it's usually one where you'll need to reboot in Safe Mode and edit the registry to prevent the damn thing from re-installing itself.
