hey everyone. i just bought the game and installed it but it wont work. while i was installing it it said updating nesscesary directx componants a box came up with internal error. it then said installation failed. it went onto the next step and i installed the game but when i try to run it it says this application has failed ot start because D3DX9_26.DLL was not found. i tried re installing but the same thing happened. does anyone how i can fix this

Try to reinstall directX. Either directly from the CIV4 CD or download it from www.microsoft.com/directx

i have already tried to reinstall from civ4 cd says internal error still
