This is the french mirage.

I started to create a 2nd UU for every civilization. When its done, I'll release a mod pack. Send me your request for other civs.

Good try but Mirages don't look like this.

The 3D model is not identical only because we cant make changes for now

Personally, I prefer for the second France’s UU the paladin of the Emperor Charlemagne or a Napoleon unit like his “Dragons” but the French paladin will be easier to skin. I have already done one but I’m working on it, so it will be more beautiful. (Sorry for my bad English, is not my first language)

Great idea for a mod! You should definatly have American Marines as the US should probobly have some WWII representation.

British should have some longbowmen as their second UU
How about some russian WWII tanks (name eludes me now) that are maybe just as powerful, but like half as cheap to build as regular tanks or something

Nay, I would disagee on the Longbow for the english, it was more Welsh (But part of the UK anyways) I would say Man-o'-war as in the last one, for the Spanish make a treasure galleon have it maybe 5 power and +1 move.
For the Arabs make a assasin if you can!

PS, were are the unit files? I cannot find them anywhere!

I am not sure about the assain for Persia, the Assasins were Arab (Though Persia is arab now), what about a trireme with Greek fire for the greeks?

I think the idea that the Egyptians had slaves is not true. I heard that their are archives and lists of huge volunteer crews signing up to build the pyramids. not sure how tru that is though...How about giving them Work gangs instead of slaves, same thing in effect, make the image, lots of workers on the same tile, give them double production speed or sommink.

I will probably add the longbowman for the english since I really love the new skins posted in the past few days. Man-o-war sill a good idea.

For japan, I already made the zero cause it's definitely the best 2nd UU to make.

I also add the paladin post in this thread to replace my mirage :) better idea I agree.

Elephants for india is a must.....but should I take out elephants to the other civs?? maybe yes ....

tell me what you think about that and other suggestion if you have one...

some of them have been post in this thread or other thread and I've made the other one....I will add the name of the author when the mod will be finished.

This is some ideas for other units :

Indian : Elephants
Viking : Probably something to replace galleon
Arabs : Assasins
Spanish : Treasure Galleon

If you're looking for the units thye will be post with the mod when its done....only because lots of work still to do and I'm open to amke lots of changes.

If you make some skins or if you have ideas post them. As you can see, I also add some civilization like turk and canada.

Here's a list I came up with a while ago for all of the civs. Dont know if it will be help or not but I figured I'll just post it.

America - change SEAL to WWII marine and make F-15 (I really believe that the F-15 is the best symbol of America's military dominance at the end of the 20th century. It had an undefeated combat record. Unfortunately this would need a new model to really do. Pretty much no matter what you do it will still look like an F-16 with a new paint job.)

Arabia - really dont have a good idea for this one

Aztec - some replacment for the warrior would be good

China - I think something from more ancient China like a Qin spearman would be good

Egypt - dont really know, Rhye's mod for Civ3 had an axeman UU

English - you really could go with either the man 'o war or the longbowman, they're both good ideas. Since a longbowman is already made I'd probably go with that.

France - I personally would like to have some type of Napoleonic era unit for France. Since England already has a UU rifleman you could be creative and give France a new cannon or something. But those new knight skins are very nice looking too.

Germany - I think you could either go with some type of Prussian rifleman or to be very creative an axeman replacement to represent the Germanic tribes who attacked the Roman empire. I dont think there's a civ with an axeman replacement as it is so that could be interesting.

Greece - Definitely an ancient age trireme (however you spell it ;))

Inca - a Chasaqui scout

India - an elephant is a must

Japan - zero would be perfect. I even think it would look good with the current spitfire model.

Mali - a heavy cataphract, could be either horse archer or knight replacement (I actually think that giving everyone the option to build horse archers is kinda weird, it would be better suited as just a Mongolian UU)

Mongolian - you could make it so that they have cavalry UU's for both the knight and horse archer

Persia - a horse archer UU would be good to represent the Parthians and Sassanids

Rome - First of all please please please change the name of "praetorians" to what they should be, legionaries. For a new UU I think a catapult replacement would be good as a ballista or something. Would need a new model unfortunately.

Russia - a T-34 tank, it could be cheaper than the regular tank. If you cant get a get a new model for it I think using the panzer model would be better than the sherman model. But a new model would be best.

Spain - The tercio, a pikeman replacement. People tend to focus too much on Spain's holdings in the new world, but you must not forget about their accompaining status as the superpower of mainland Europe also during that time. The tercio could represent that.

Now before anyone jumps on me and tries to point it out I would like to say that I know new models can't be made yet. I think it would be best to just use the current graphics as placeholders if you can't get a good enough skin or model as you're working on the project. That way you can just switch a few simple files once one gets made and its ready.

I agree with France, maybe a Cavalry type? That was there strong point, or maybe the old guard, it is just to bad you can't yet combine the grenaiders hat with the riflemans body.

My sister has a fun game called "crusader" put out by Firefly studios. It has an assasin as a arabian unit.

For the Americans: for their unique unit, just make the Stealth bomber buildable only by them. Nobody else has ever built one. Maybe make it slightly weaker, otherwise they will have too much of an advantage.

Oh, and take the SEAL out of the game or make it available to all under a new name(Special Forces or something), so they don't have 2 unique units in the modern era.

For the Germans, I think the Teutonic Knight would be a perfect unique unit.

Though we do not know if anyone else will build the stealth bomber, as it is stil in use, not like say the redcoat, like they are obsloete. And who knows, maybe someone has but kept it top secret.

be careful with teutonic meaning, at the origin it came from Templar Knights ... (whose can be a UU for France - and get more goldwhen pillage)

Why not give America the supercarrier unit? After all, they are the biggest warships ever built (and there are upwards of ten of them...).

You could give England the Invincible-class light carrier (only 2 fighters but has anti-sub capability), that way its second UU wouldn't be available at the same time as the Readcoat. Also, has anyone noticed that the longbowman unit ALREADY EXISTS?

China definitely needs some kind of rocket artillery as its second UU.

Parthian horsemen (improved horse archers) are a must for Persia. And the Roman ballista is perfect as well.

Just a thought...

as a frenchman, i am very surprise you choose a plane to be the second UU for france, i think that foreign legionary will be better but because i cannot draw, it will be a plane or (for my part) nothing.

i personally would not make egypt's 2nd UU a slave. maybe Nubian bowmen or egyptian axemen but egypt had no more slaves than any other nation of then time just because everyone "believes" the pyramids were made by slaves doesn't they're right! they were built by egyptians this is known because they found burials of workers with amputated limbs from long before they meaning they were treated through Quaterizing the wounds slaves would not have had this "privalige" and so would have bled to death
