hi! I've been playing civ4 for one week, but i don't understand how can I add to the game new downloaded units.

I'd like to know too. All I want to do is to replace the frigate skin but I can't see any topic that shows me how to do this.

I am wondering the same thing. I was trying to add a vikings or a canada "mod" that I downloaded, but I must be doing something wrong.

Can anyone tell me a quick and painless way to add a "mod" so I can play that civilization?

Yes someone please help, i downloaded some new skins and cant fuigure out how to load them either??

Just a question, but did you look to see if there was a readme file included with the mods you downloaded.... Just about every mod I've seen includes installation instructions in a text file included with the mod, and usually posted on the first page of the mod's post.

well if you just downloaded a skin then you actually need to add it to a mod and give it stats. If your trying to overwrite an existing skin i'd still recomment adding it to a mod as you really "shouldn't" be changing the core game files (otherwise it can really mess the game up when they patch)

If you downloaded things like new civilizations or new units (with stats) they usually have a readme file or something (unless the instructions are in the thread you downloaded them from) that has the instructions for instalation in it.
