Hi, and this is 1 of the 2 mods I am working on for CIV 4. It's still in production, so no releases yet.
Current Features:
-The seven religions are replaced by seven well-known (at least to Americans) political parties.
-The buttons and icons of said political parties.
-New Tech requirements.
-Appropriately retitled Religious Advisor (political advisor), missionaries (spokesmen), and priests (politicians).
-Renamed the righternmost civics for political themes.
-Diplomacy texts, religious buildings, and others undergoing change to political theme.
-New (though corny) sounds for the Parties.
-Civelopedia entires for political parties and changed civics. (though admittedly snurched from wikipedia)
Current bugs and gameplay issues:
-some text is now only showing tags TEXT_KEY_POPUP_BLAHDEBLAH. Will investigate.
-couple graphics bugs.
-The timeline order political parties are founded is generally accurate except that the Libertarian Party always gets founded waaay first.
-All political civics are available by the time the first political party is founded. Must rebalance tech requirements.
-Had some trouble coming up with original buildings, so they started to turn into events, institutions, and absract ideas.
You'll see in one screen the names are so long they overlap eachother.
Planned Features:
-fix above issues.
-New Buttons for Political Buildings.
-Replace "hands praying" button with a podium or something.
-New Victory Condition "Political Victory": One of the winner's founded political parties achieves 51% influence.
-Replace the screen that pops up when you found a political party.
-Civelopedia entries for the Political party concept, and all those buildings and stuff.
