Personally, I find the music of the Myst series and Civ 4 to be among the best I've heard in videogames. What are your favorites?

The music from Dynasty Warriors is funny, with its retro power ballads.

Everyone has to love the sonic music as well

The music from Might & Magic VI is great. Especially New Sorpigal theme and Castle Ironfist theme.
I also love the music from Little Big Adventure 2, truly uplifting and epic.

The Final Fantasy games usually have some quite nice music too.

Deus Ex had the best music. Other great soundtracks are Fallout 1&2 and System Shock 2. I listen to those soundtracks routinely.

C&C games contain the best video game music ever (Hellmarch!). Baldur's gate and other IE games have great music too (I even have a Icewind dale soundtrack) :)

I fool around 'a little' with a program called Guitar Pro 4, it allows you to compose midi tracks... maybe one day I'll try to emulate the greats of our past.

I like a lot of video game music, too many to think of.

My fav track is still Red Alert 1's Hellmarch. It is really a class track:goodjob: . Civ3 music was good. Civ4 is ok. Age of Empires 3 is quality stuff-really sets the new world scene well

Age of Wonders 1 songs there are several remarkable ones like Highmen Theme
I simply love the Heroes 3 Fortress and the Tower songs
Silent Hill 4's Room of Angel si simply beautyfull , in a very twisted way ...
I agree Desu Ex main title and Age of Empires 2 main title are unforgettable.

Last but not least Undying songs - i remember in a nightmare of mine i was hearing that song ... that chilling song ...

Now that i think about it over the years in my nightmares (aka cool dreams:) ) i remember being haunted by 3 main game songs ... in my childhood i kept hearing the diablo 1 level 1-4 song ; then a little later on Undying ... and then Room of Angel from Silent Hill 4...
