Is there voice chat built in? If so, how do I use it?

I haven't tried it, but supposedly you hit Scroll Lock. There's some options in the preferences also.

Also, my keyboard, like some, doesn't have a Scroll Lock key, so that would be a bit of a problem, although hopefully I can remap that.

There is voice chat built in. You have to enable it in preferences first. Then in-game, you press scrolllock to talk. I have tried it and it works but it is choppy and the quality is quite low. Since then, I've tried xfire for voice chat and it works great. Very good sound quality and no choppyness. You can use this during a Civ game with no problems.

yeah, the built in voice chat is crap compared to any standalone vc program IMO. Unfortunate.

Like everything in Civ, except for the game.

I wish Blizzard bought the rights to make Civ (but using turn, etc etc). A company with real coders!

Use Teamspeak instead.
