I think it is one of the best earth maps i have ever played.

I have 1 gig RAM.

This is a great map. How do I use it in a custom game?

p.s., as the U.S., I love being a 49er with all that gold in the West.

Would you please make that map work with more civilizations like those from superciv mod ?

Wow, excellent job! It takes quite a long time to load, even on my P4 with 1 gig, but when It's done... magnificent!

I've played this map several times. I love the resource placement. Some areas are crowded (Caesar never does well) but it's fun being stuck with only a few cites and trying to do your best (say....with England). It's also fun to start with Washington and have a wide-open space to work with, including all the metals in the west, the fur in the Canadian Tundra, and the bananas in Central America ( you must force Montezuma out).

I think I'll try Egypt next, it seems like she has a marked advantage much like America and Russia and Incas.

I downloaded the Canada civilizations and want to play as them, but they're not selectable on this list. How can I play as Canada?

You should try to edit with notepad by yourself. I could try to do this, but it would be too confusing job for me

I think China is gone. The 1.61 must have changed something with China leader mabye. I believe I saw a reference for a fix to to this in the other Hudge earth map post I saw earlier today, Nice map though :king:

Any confirmation over whether China is really bugged in this map? Great map too from the few minutes I have played. (SevoMod graphical issues)

I have to be honest and say that this map is not that great... what have you done with england and scandinavia? Especially England. Other than that you seem to have gotten it right perhaps too much resources in America, but havent played a full game yet so i guess i might be wrong :p

I opened the public map file with notepad and the text came up. And I changed China leader type since it was renamed in 1.61

So this is what, a shruk-down version of the 217x119 map by kurt-roges?

I had a go at this map, my first go at a custom map and I was enjoying myself, playing as the USA. I expanded so much that I had about 30+ cities covering the entire north american continent and was in the renaiisance era. Then the game crashed on me. I tried again and the same happened. I tried again just before the crashing point, checked the memory usage (ctrl+alt+del) and over 800 megs of RAM was being used to run Civ4, along with my CPU running at close to 100% for an extended period!!. I have a Pentium 4 2.6Ghz with 1GB RAM and a 256MB graphics card and I was having trouble running the map, I am wondering what kind of machine you need to run it??

My main problem is with the Civ4 game engine itself, it can be so slow sometimes. I only get to play it for an hour a day or so, on this map, I only got about 10 turns in, the moves were so long!!! I might just go back to playing San Andreas, that was waaaay more fun than this, this game is just way too slow for me :(

I was wondering where you put these maps at. I have downloaded this one along with others and I cant seem to find the place to put em. I put em with "PublicMaps" and "_Civ4CustomMaps" and neither have worked. Thank you
