This first post will be the Industrialist Party's management and platform post. It is my desire to work out this party with two groups of people 1. Old Communist Party Members 2. New members.

Join the Industrialist Party today for a peaceful future. The Industrialist Party is for peaceful, honest, capitalists! Workers not war! Power to the nation, peace for the world, money in our pockets, and knowledge in our heads!

Please follow me for this glorious Political Thought Revolution, which will hopefully turn the tide from war to peace, from a barracks in every city, to a library, market, and temple in every city!

We also must work swiftly to counteract the quickly growing and powerful national socialists known as THE PARTY. This group along with the IIP and Hawk-Dove party are against the ideas of love and humanity!

Here is the Party Platform

1) We value commerce, industrialization and trade:

- Trade is very important.
- Workers are the most important unit in the game.
- Industrialization means building tile improvements and building many buildings in cities.
- No tile should go unimproved.
- We strive for good diplomatic relations and trade agreements.
- Open borders are good.

2) We disdain war:

- We will build military units and buildings.
- A strong military is essential for defence.
- We will only participate in wars if they are in the defence of allies.
- We will not start wars in order to expand.
- We always seek to achieve our ends by diplomatic means.
- Declaring war is not a resort, only a possible necesity for world justice.

3) Expansion is important, but colonization is not:

- We will seek to settle unoccupied land whenever it is appropriate.
- We will actively try and secure resources.
- We will avoid colonization (the act of settling on another continent) assuming that there is space for enough cities on our own continent.
- Colonization is acceptable when it avoids invasion if we need to expand.
- Colonization is acceptable when it is to a secure a resource.

Favored Civics:

Labor: Serfdom, Emancipation
Economy: Free Market, Environmentalism
Religion: Organized Religion, Pacifism, Free Religion

Why have a stronge military and not use it? Dosnt it seem to be a waste of our nations resources.

Only as much military as is needed for defence! Any extra IS a waste of the nations rescources. Those rescources are BETTER spent on librarys, marketplaces, and other such improvements.

Why have a stronge military and not use it? Dosnt it seem to be a waste of our nations resources. Well in 1984, if I remember correctly, they had too much production so they used up the extra resources in constant wars. Land didn't really get taken or lost in these pointless
wars and boarders stayed roughly the same. The only wars worth pursuing are those against the evil Eurasians. ;)


As part of the MiniPlenty, I strongly support industrialization as the key to victory. Hopefully we can have production on the scale of Ingsoc.

Also if a threat is immenent, the party's view is to allow preeminate strikes on a foreign nation for the safety and well-being of our nation.

I can support the views of this party, and would therefore like to become a member?

I fear that the position of Minister of Interior will go to an untrustworthy candidate. I encourage our small membership to seek and back a reliable candidate, one we can trust to be virtuous, to make wise decisions, and to listen to the people. I recognize that this party has been weak since the conversion from the Communist Party. We must have faith in what we believe, Settlers and Workers are our future. Roads to outlying settlements will speed expansion and cottages must be build to ensure the growth of our economy through the coming years. I encourage members to remain with the party, I will not abandon the cause for ANYTHING. THIS is what I believe in, and no lack of membership or activity will allow me to abandon what I firmly believe is the honorable way. We may be in the backshadow to more powerful parties and politicians, we will bide our time, as our views are for the future and not today. Today the people are concerned primarily with expansion, as we all should be. But when OUR issues become important, when our nation reaches a point where the land is gone and the time has come to focus on what we HAVE, then, we will rise. We will shout in the name of peace and prosperity, and the nation will thrive in a golden age (And perhaps a techinical golden age, the kind that comes from great people) of science, building, and culture. We will bring these blessings to our nation yet, but for now, sit tight, and wait for our views to become relavent.

I would urge all party members to get to the polls and VOTE. this is our future. We have multiple mebers running, so go help the nation!

I get the feeling that after this roll-call it may only be me and Castro Kitten who survive, and Castro Kitten is not a very valuable member. But even so, this is what I believe, and I will stick with the Industrialists, regardless the membership list. So here it is.

Okay, i dont know if the demo game is still going and if it is whats happening to the Industrialist Party. Im only 13(i think u can see that though) so my
speeling gramar and is not that great(lol).
Anyway...
It seems to me that your 'Ideology' as such when its comes to the issue of State Property is that in Civ4 you can only really represent the right-wing views. if you look at Hitlers Germany, in a sense, it was 'state property'. (this is the part i get from Civ3s civilopedia). in Hitlers fascist state, the government [U]required[U] produce from buisness as upposed to Communism where the state or government paid for it. both sides are state property, both sides increase military productivity at the expense of the economy as they dont allow buisness expansion, but do allow military and state expansion.
