In the spirit of the othre recent threads, what gamespeeds should be allowed in the permanent Hall of Fame?

I would say no quick. Not that anyone would play that anyways, though. It is NOT the AP equivalant of civ 4.

Quick is very appopriate for small maps. Much better than playing Marathon.

Which is why I vote for combo.

I am assuming we will not differentiate between different game speeds?

My personnal option is to allow all and not differentiate between them.

Differentiating between 4 would make a lot of categories while matching mapsize and speed sounds good but a bit arbitrary.

I voted Epic and Normal. There isn't much variety here but there are some unbalanced issues which may be modified later on, however, using multiple speeds is gonna require multiple tables for any fastest finish as they are not comparable. Or some sort of balancing.

I really don't think there's a reason for disallowing any of them. Time will show which ones are better for which VC, but there are players who enjoy long games, and there are player who only have time for Quick games. So my opinion is to simply allow all of them. And keep them in the same table.

Agreed. Though I think that you'd get a bit too many combinations, you don't want to force people to use a certain speed in order to have a decent chance to get into the HoF. Since the different speeds are clearly unbalanced, you don't want to compare them in the same table.

When I play for HoF, I tend to play Marathon, so I can explore more.
When I play for fun, I tend to play faster.
However, luck has a lot to do with winning, and a fast, fun game can be a HoF winner.
