For all the lurkers out there, I am planning on starting a live civ game at 8pm est (2000 gmt -5). If you'd like to join the game send me an email.

We are using Team Speak for voice chat and you will need the client.

I'm up for it. I'm also in GMT - 5. I can play the turn between 6 PM - 11 PM local time.

Muzzle, can you update the player names to put in the usernames of the people here? I can't figure out who is who and we don't need to see the default names. It makes things confusing.

Well Elbridge is around and active. I know that, since he's in the PB game that just started that I'm in. Cyrus is in the turn order after El. I'll find out when he last sent the turn....

Just a question, as this is my first PBEM game

What happens if a patch comes out while our game is still going? Do things just keep going with the old rules?

When the next patch comes out, everyone will need to upgrade to the new patch. The save file from the 1.52 will load into the new version. But 1.52 will not be able to load the patched version, so that's why everyone will need to upgrade when it comes out.

While we're waiting for the turn, everyone install the 1.61 Patch that just came out. I'll be installing it tonight, so when I eventually get the turn from DaBeast, I'll be sending it along with it being saved from my machine using the Patch.

We'll be forming the teams this weekend, so get over to the forum and put your name into the list of people wanting to play. You don't even need to have an active role in the beginning, but you joining up will make the forming of the teams so much better (especially since we're a bit short on the number of players we really want to start with).

The 1180BC turn that I received last night was the same one that I had already played and sent to moorgle on May 31st. DaBeast, please send me the correct turn which would be the one after 1180.

I hit cancel when asked to send the turn, so I thought it didn't go. :crazyeye:

The dup turn precedes me, so once I get the right one I will be more than happy to pass it on.

moorgle, when was the last time you sent it on to the next player and who is that player? Check with them, when they last sent it on to the player after them...and so on.

Well, did you find out from Muzzle who he sent the turn to and if that person confirmed getting it? I don't remember who is after Muzzle.

EDIT: Ok, looking back in the thread it looks like Muzzle sends the turn to Eldbridge who sends the turn to DaBeast who then sends it to me. I've sent an email via CFC to Muzzle. I'll also do the same for El, but I believe he's active since he's in a PitBoss game I'm in.

EDIT #2: PM's sent to both of them. I see El is definately active in one of his other PBEM's as looking at another thread, there are turns that keep getting passed to him even over the past couple days. So Muzzle probably needs to Re-Send his turn to El so that El can play it and pass it on to DaBeast. I really wanna get this game moving along again!!! :D

Game News Update:

I heard back from my email to Sir El. He has now resent to DaBeast the 1120 BC turn, which is the correct date for the current turn. So once DB plays his turn, which will hopefully be today, I'll be able to play and send on my turn after I get home from volleyball tonight!!

I have sent the game twice to elbridge.... and he seems not to be responding... I recieve the tunr from bryan and a few days agop he querried me.. i resent turn 1060 to eldbridge..... and again nothing has happened... that is where I beleive the hang up is located... in the end it is my fault due to my system offline ... we probably lost momentum after 3 weeks... sorry:blush:

He resent the turn to you 23 hours ago. I know that, because he even copied me on it because I had emailed him myself asking when he sent it to you. He's definately active and responsive. I've just forwarded it to you as well from my gmail account. It went to your optonline account, which you should be able to check over the web. I know I can, as I have one of those too. Check it to see if you've received the one I just sent.

i resent turn 1060 to eldbridgeThe current turn is 1120 BC, which I have the file which Sir El mailed to DB and copied me on the mail.

I did receive the mail from both elbridge and hitanykey (I can't tell you why the e-mail from elbridge just arrived)...

The problem with both e-mails is it contains turn 1120, which is not the current turn. I sent that turn to HitAnyKey on June 5.

The correct turn, as Muzzle stated, is turn 1060. Once Elbridge plays turn 1060 and sends it on to me, we'll be good to go.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the turn before I have to leave. The last one I had was 860 which was sent out on the 11th.

I think everyone who had sent out a turn should just re-send the last turn they played. Whoever doesn't get a duplicate of a turn they had already played would end up having to play their 'new' turn. Everyone else just disregards the duplicate and deletes it.

Something tells me Muzzlehead might have it. I sent him an email asking for him to send me everyone's email address so I could do a mass email to all the players to find out what's going on. And I havn't heard from him at all.

I just resent him the last turn again. If it is muzzle and we can not get a hold of him is the game done, or can we find a replacement?

Muzzle is the game admin. No way to replace him without knowing the Admin password. Since that's the only way to get a new password for a replacement, if I recall.

I sent it my last turn out to Muzzlehead on Monday the 21st. Thats the last I have seen of it.

Send another email to him. If he's really not interested in playing anymore and is going to be taking this long for every turn, then we should try to get the Admin password from him and replace him (or turn him into AI, if that's possible).

Has anyone heard from Muzzle or anyone else that might have the last turn? This game has been inactive for about a month now. I'd really like to get it moving again.

If Muzzle isn't going to stay active in the game, we should get the Admin password from him and find a replacement. And have him give his turn password to someone new that can actually play the turns so we can get this game moving.

If it's not Muzzle who is holding up the game, then we need to find out who it is and replace that person.
