I recently tried the Desert War Scenario in Single Player mode, and it seems when choosing an allied nation it starts you out at a complete disadvantage. I have three small cities and am completely outmanned and outgunned. Any Tip or Strategy i can use to bail myself out??:confused:

I've been searching for help in this scenario but no luck! perhaps if I bump it, we might get lucky or you might have already worked it out & can help me!
I'm sick of the Italian & German battleships killing my navy when my planes have reduced their ships drastically!

I've taken to quitting without saving & trying again a few times now!:mad:

Only one of the allied nations starts out like that actually.

I tryed the desert war campain as the Allied nations (USA) on Noble
They only start with 2 citys!
but by D-day we owned all of north africa and sicily.
it isn't an easy fight and I sure wouldn't want to try it on higher dificulty levels.

My main advice would be have a very strong air force, and not to send any ships out of port without pressing reason. I always bombed any enemy ships down as much as I could before attacking, and i tryed to always have them back in my city again on that turn.

For general war advice you can also look in the readme file that came with the scenario. it outlines basic stratagys for each nation.

Jericho, if you think it's so easy, can you post some strategies (and save game files) that you use to beat it? What level do you play it on?

Cheers. The readme. file is helpful - I never thought to look there! I do bombard with planes but I've still found that even though their ships are badly damaged, they can still take out my destroyer/sub! It's very frustrating but I'll keep trying.
