View Full Version : Lord of the 1337... GenghisK Jan 16, 2006, 03:58 PM No comment... (1.8Mb for the GIF!) http://www.expectnothing.com/pub/posts/attached/0002k1cc.gif@ Dreadnought Jan 16, 2006, 04:30 PM  quite funny The Person Jan 16, 2006, 04:42 PM Seen it before. A wonder it took so long to get here though... I can recommend it. Funny as hell for peeps who have played WoW. DBear Jan 16, 2006, 07:10 PM "I think he's a ninja" CivFan91 Jan 16, 2006, 07:42 PM http://ganjataz.com/01smileys/images/smileys/geek-speakinleet.gif Maniacal Jan 16, 2006, 07:58 PM Haha  This remnids me, I havn't seen Penguin on this other forum I go to for several months, he had a similar sig. LLXerxes Jan 17, 2006, 05:26 PM  I can actually understand what most of those lines are supposed to mean. Swiss Bezerker Jan 17, 2006, 06:46 PM Alot of it is only funny if you have played WoW, The exclamation over the head means they have a quest, carrot on a stick is a WoW reference, and the red armor means it is low on durability. And the breath meter was from WoW too CivFan91 Jan 17, 2006, 09:16 PM OK. What's aggro, then? Aramazd Jan 17, 2006, 09:45 PM  really funny:lol: SoCalian Jan 17, 2006, 10:14 PM all it needs now, is some great teamspeak dialouge instead of subtitles. DBear Jan 17, 2006, 10:54 PM @CivFan91 aggro--short for aggressive, when monsters go hostile on you. And I don't even play WoW. CivFan91 Jan 17, 2006, 11:04 PM Hey, I don't claim to be up-to-date on all 1337-speak. I mean, it's not like HTML, there isn't a list of codes, definitions, and practical uses. L'Afrique Jan 19, 2006, 05:28 PM Mildly disturbing that we all got that... Totibbs Jan 20, 2006, 12:41 PM http://members.home.nl/thomasvanofferen/TheyreTakingTheHobbitsToIsengard.wmv Not mine but very precious :) nonconformist Jan 20, 2006, 04:31 PM What the heck's "LFG"? CivFan91 Jan 20, 2006, 05:14 PM I think it's Looking For Game. LFM is Looking For Members, I guess. But apparently I have 1337-speek 3.0, and the rest of the net went to 4.1. The Person Jan 21, 2006, 11:49 AM Remember, this is based on WoW, so you need to know that game to understand most of this. Personally I wouldn't say this is very 1337, it's more n00b WoW lingo. BTW, "LFG" means "Looking For Group" and "LFM" means "Looking For Members" (to an existing group). CivFan91 Jan 24, 2006, 11:25 AM Well, I was close... :) aaglo Jan 25, 2006, 04:23 AM Here's another funny one (with ninjas of course :) ) http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads11/mordor-vi.gif Abaddon Jan 25, 2006, 05:27 AM LFG??? whats that mean Totibbs Jan 25, 2006, 01:11 PM LFG??? whats that mean Looking for Group. The Person Jan 25, 2006, 05:18 PM LFG??? whats that mean Let me quote myself: BTW, "LFG" means "Looking For Group" and "LFM" means "Looking For Members" (to an existing group). MrB(org) Jan 26, 2006, 03:53 AM Any of you who don't understand all the "1337" stuff, especially in reference to wow, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Warcraft_terminology LFM, I've always understood, means Looking For More, ie, you're looking for more people doing the same thing as you. Makes more sense than looking for members... I loved the "/spit" part. The Great Apple Jan 26, 2006, 11:03 AM Remember, this is based on WoW, so you need to know that game to understand most of this. Personally I wouldn't say this is very 1337, it's more n00b WoW lingo. Have to agree. 1337 is quite quite different. Either that or there are different types of it for every game. I used to play quite a bit of Diablo II and that was completely different... as is Counter-Strike, which I still play. |
