Hi !

I made an europe map with 8 civ (all europeans + egypt) and some barbarian tribes.. i tried to make it balanced (at least for emperor) and i hope i succeded... hope you like it !

ps: don't be afraid to give sugestions ;)

New version :
- improved Spain and north Africa
- put more goddy huts;
- some changes to barbarians
- greatly improved grece area
- some other minor changes.. :)

I think the map looks pretty good. But the start locations for the Egyptians and Spanish look rather weak to me. Are you sure you tested that?

yup!... in my test's Hatshepsut ruled the world and Isabella was in 4 place... not very bad (Isabella always has religion on her side ;) )... the problem is Alexander who was last and in not very good relations with Egypt...

i made an other test and in 500 AD the score (excuding me) ranged from Elizabeth's and Hatshepsut shared lead at 698 to Alexander's 500(preety balanced). The test was on almost the same map as v101 (greece has a new iron supply ;) )

Looks like a nice map, although I would make Eastern Europe have a lot of plains.

you should put in a oil source near the netherlands in the north sea (ok there isn't oil, but there is gas)

I studied some cilmate maps and I will extend a bit the plains in the north of the Black Sea (because that part said semi-arid.. the rest of east Europe just has a frezzing cold season).

As for the oil ... I relly don't know any gas powerd tanks or fighters (i might be wrong:crazyeye: ) but for now: no oil on that part of the map...

There really isn't just gas but also oil in the North Sea.

Absolutely theres Oil in the North Sea.... disappearing quick and you wouldn't notice if you follow our pricing for petrol...... :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

i have a question i just bought this game and am new to it and was wondering how to play the game under this map what do i have to do to load it. I dowloaded this file from the link what do i do next?

unzip the file in C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\PublicMaps (or where you installed the game\publicmaps) and start the game ->single pllayer ->play a scenario and click on "proprer europe" ;)

Funny to me. :eek: I feel the map is too small for my tastes.:)

I'm gonna give it a shot as soon as I'm done this latest Eurasia thing I've got going.


Very Nice Looking. While I'm thinking of going with the Egyptians because those flood plains give real nice early game boost it seems like too easy the choice. If the Russians are in, I might try them or the Germans. :king:
