View Full Version : How do you change unit stats?

I want my carrier to carry 40x the amount of planes (120 jet fighters) and i want it also to cost 40x more expensive.

Come on, carriers do not carry three planes and this way, I will actually proctect the carrier more like in real life.

Anyways, someone tell me the easy way please.............

The planes represent more than one plane, just as a chariot represents more than one charioteer and one guy founding a city represents several families founding a city.

Anyway, open /Assets/XML/Units/Civ4UnitInfos.xml with notepad. Go to line #11349 and change 3 to 40. Save. Play.

well yeah i realize that, but i still want the carrier to hold more planes because its funner.

also, i changed the cost from 175 to 4000 (175*40) to make it balanced a little but thats under <icost>4000</icost>. Did i change the right value?

Well i did it, but for some reason, all the AMREV values came up as "Incorrect Tag" when I start the game but I didnt even touch em...

why did that happen? That still happened even when I replaced the modified with the backed up original...

Something else changed. Whats the first error that comes up when you start the game?

You guys are right, sorry for the false alarm, i got another original xml from my friend and it works fine now....dunno what happened..
