View Full Version : Admin Ruling
RegentMan Feb 02, 2006, 08:07 PM Here is our ruling for the screenshot incident:
1 - MIA will delete the image from email, forums, and wherever else.
2 - KISS receives a rule violation warning.
3 - No punishment for Bede - he was acting on behalf of his team.
4 - The yellow line, because it was established with an illegal map, is now void. It cannot be reestablished.
5 - War cannot be declared by Team KISS nor Team MIA on each other before Turn 104, 470 BC, even if individual MIA units breach the imaginary line created by KISS.

peter grimes Feb 03, 2006, 04:53 AM It was also in our gmail. Maybe we should delete that email, but save the text of it in a separate message.
fe3333au Feb 03, 2006, 06:30 AM Reacted to tubby note in Turn Taker ... I sent this ...
Hey Tubby
I thought that the mods would have posted on your threads by now ... it concerned the Demarcation Line map sent to us by Bede ... there was a violation of rule 1.6 ... exchange of maps before the relevant technology was known.
It had nothing to do with us ... the mods will back us up !!! ... here is the ruling ...

 I thought the mods would have informed KISS.
EDIT ... Tubbt replied ... Thanks
I didn't wnt the turn to be held up due to mods not informing KISS about ruling
Ginger_Ale Feb 03, 2006, 07:10 AM We have informed KISS. Tubby seems to have missed the thread in the forum, as other KISS members have responded in the thread.
General_W Feb 03, 2006, 10:06 AM First of all, Thank you to Regent Man and Ginger Ale.
This ruling seems fair and even-handed.
However – I do have a question regarding point #5:
5 - War cannot be declared by Team KISS nor Team MIA on each other before Turn 104, 470 BC, even if individual MIA units breach the imaginary line created by KISS.
If KISS decided to send a stack of Gallic Swords marching into our "territory" (land not controlled by our culture, but clearly behind our front-line cities) would we have to watch them march towards our core until turn 104??
This would seem to be punishing us, though we did nothing wrong.
I'm hopeful that point #5 just means that crossing the "line of demarcation" cannot be considered an act of war. Other acts of war would still allow us to declare war before turn 104?
I appreciate any clarification you can give me!
(I've PMed this to Regent Man and Ginger Ale)
I'll post when I get a response!
:salute:
fe3333au Feb 03, 2006, 10:25 AM Yes and I would point out that there should not be any restriction on sea travel ... or at the very least, keep out of ZOC.
EDIT ... cos it is really easy to sail up Battle Island's western coast and scoot over the gap
General_W Feb 03, 2006, 02:02 PM Heard back from Ginger Ale:
That would probably fall under the 'spirit of the game' blanket clause, exploiting a treaty.
There shall be peace until turn 104 - neither side can declare war, so there really won't even be any 'other acts of war' before turn 104.
So hopefully this just won't be an issue.
Rik Meleet Feb 03, 2006, 04:38 PM 5 - War cannot be declared by Team KISS nor Team MIA on each other before Turn 104, 470 BC, even if individual MIA units breach the imaginary line created by KISS. If KISS decided to send a stack of Gallic Swords marching into our "territory" (land not controlled by our culture, but clearly behind our front-line cities) would we have to watch them march towards our core until turn 104?? A stack hardly is an individual unit, now is it ?
