There are quite a number of people on this forum today, but very few are actually posting. I don't really have any work to do at work, so I depend on this forum to entertain me.

I too have nothing to do at work. Too bad I can't load CivIII on my Computer here. eyrei Feb 05, 2002, 03:00 PM Even though I knew it would probably get me fired, I actually brought the CD with me on three different occasions in case I found the courage to play it.:nono: Clubber Feb 05, 2002, 03:02 PM :vomit: Yep, the I.T. police are a pain in the A$$ !!! Maybe one day I'll give it a try.... eyrei Feb 05, 2002, 03:05 PM Originally posted by Clubber :vomit: Yep, the I.T. police are a pain in the A$$ !!! Maybe one day I'll give it a try.... No one seems to want to vote on my poll either.:( Oh well, 1 hour before I can go home and play civ3. I may even call in sick tomorrow to play.:) PaulNAdhe Feb 05, 2002, 03:57 PM Since it's supposed to snow here tonight and that shuts this southern city down completely, I'll probably get to play all day tomorrow :p spycatcher34 Feb 05, 2002, 05:31 PM I dunno. I had to work. SOME of us dont get to lay a round and surf the internet all day:rolleyes: :D ;) :p :) Anglophile Feb 05, 2002, 05:48 PM I'm thinking of starting a poll; which do you think will happen first? 1. Firaxis will develop a version that I can play with Win NT 4.0 2. My company will upgrade my operating system to something on which I can play Civ3. 3. I will catch my plane back home tomorrow so I can play Civ3 instead of voting in polls on Civ3. Becka Feb 05, 2002, 06:06 PM I already replied to all the topics I want to apply to today. :p spycatcher34 Feb 05, 2002, 06:10 PM Originally posted by Becka I already replied to all the topics I want to apply to today. :p How do you "apply" to a topic? Anywayz maybe tf has some tracker thing where he can tell us all the busiest times of the day ect...... Becka Feb 05, 2002, 06:15 PM Originally posted by spycatcher34 How do you "apply" to a topic? Well, I'm sorry my post didn't conform to your high post-quality standards! :p Nice picture, by the way. Troyens Feb 05, 2002, 08:11 PM Maybe because a lot of people have already gone back to Civ II? Lefty Scaevola Feb 05, 2002, 09:34 PM Originally posted by Troyens Maybe because a lot of people have already gone back to Civ II? I (a civ3 moderator) prefer smacx. Anglophile Feb 07, 2002, 04:23 PM Response to our honoured moderator, I don't prefer smacx because to me the graphics tend to have the same tile definition as spycatcher's excellent graphic attachment. Now that I know about these things, who can recommend a great graphics mod for smac/x (have the x despite not being able to play smac because I just absolutely hate the graphics)? I know its a great game and I - and my sons who share my view on the graphics - would love to be able to get into it. darkChild Feb 07, 2002, 08:41 PM  this is the most amusing thread ive read in a while... (besides becka's desktop thread, of course);) Padma Feb 07, 2002, 09:03 PM Actually, my biggest problem today was the LAN at work wouldn't let me get out of the building! Normally we can at least see the .mil sites (I work on a military base, after all) but by lunchtime today anytime I tried to access outside the building I got a "server not found" error. So I'm having to catch up and get my 'fix' from home tonight. If Firaxis came out with a Win NT 4.0 version, your explosives company would get even less work out of it's American employees than it does now. Hard to believe, I know. 2. Don't hold your breath waiting for an upgrade of your company's OS. They are too busy trying to stave off Chapter 11 because of all the time their senior scientists are playing Civ3 instead of working. 3. Going home to play Civ 3 is the most likely option. - Dinorius Redundicus. Dell19 Feb 08, 2002, 10:36 AM Well it was toss up between I don't know how to type and I am scared of the moderators but I don't know how to type got my vote in the end... Suppersalmon Feb 08, 2002, 11:07 AM Im scared of the DVD Drive it may cut my leg at any moment   Anglophile Feb 13, 2002, 09:41 PM Welcome Dinorius not yet Redundicus. Maybe we can get our exec team playing civ3; for some less, work is more. With luck and diverting our managers from any decision making, we may both be not Redundicus for a little while yet. Although in this case, it is more accurate to say one great mind (me) and one great pachyderm (thee);) Anyway, must be off. Am almost out of plankton, and need a few more container shiploads in order to go blue whale fishing tommorrow morning...(It is hell trying to get each and every plankton on the hook:D) |
