My system: AMD 2800, 712 RAM, video card is only 64 MB

I installed the game over a month ago, and have been playing it with basically no problem.

Yesterday I started having problems loading saved mod games; then I got a virtual memory warning, so ; then I started having problems loading any saved games; then I couldn't start the games; then I couldn't even load it. So I did an uninstall/reinstall. Still can't load properly. Did a system restore to three days ago, and then (not having learned my lesson), I attempted to uninstall it again. No dice.


Here's where I'm at now: if I try to run the game, it crashes, giving the messagesFailed loading XML file assets//XML\gameinfo/civ4/playersinfo.xmland then Load XML call failed for gameinfo/civ4/playersinfo.xml

However, if I try to uninstall the game, I getSetup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

So basically it looks like I'm screwed; can't load, uninstall, or reinstall. Help? :sad:

open my comp, local disk (c), program files, installshield installation information(this folder is hidden).

then in that folder fing the one that starts with CFBCE791 and re name it to something else.

Then re install the game from the setup file on the disk. this should overwright any missing of corrupt data from before.
