I have a little question about the bigger temples (Cathedral, Mandir, Synagoge, etc.)

Before a city can build them, each city with that religion needs a temple of that religion. On a large map, it's painfull to go through all the cities (with for example Hinduism) and check if they have the (Hindiust) temple.

Is there a quick way to make sure all you cities have the temples of their religions so you can push the culture with the +50% bonus of the big temples?

I tried using the religion screen, but its just to slow to be any fun.

Any idea's?
Thanks

You don't need a temple in every city, you need a certain number. If you go into the city screen and hover the mouse over the building you want to build, it will show you how many of the temples you need and how many you have.

I don't believe there is a way to check which cities have which improvements without actually going into each city individually to check. You should know as well, if you don't already, that you can only build one cathedral per three temples. e.g. if you have 9 cities, you can have at most 3 cathedrals.

If you go into a city view (not the shorthand view from the map, but actually into the city view where you're looking at tile use, specialists, etc) and look at which buildings you can build, all buildings you can potentially build will be there, and the ones you can't build yet are greyed out, but they tell you how many of the prerequisite buildings you already have built, e.g. 4/6 courthouses for the Forbidden Palace, 6/8 Universities for Oxford, 6/8 Hindu Temples for the Hindu Mandir, etc.

Thanks, I didn't know that each 3 temples allows 1 big. And like alco75 says, I'll be going through all my cities :(

Thanks for the input.

Also the 3:1 ratio depends on Map size, on smaller maps its 2:1, on bigger ones its 4:1 (I'm not sure if it gets to 5:1)
